LETHBRIDGE, AB – Residents in Lethbridge have just one more week to take advantage of free parking in the downtown.

The city is reminding citizens that as of Monday, January 18, paid parking will be required once again in the downtown area of Lethbridge. Starting today, January 11, enforcement officers will place notices on windshields, reminding residents to pay for parking starting again next Monday.

Paid parking has been suspended since December 14 as part of a special holiday promotion.

In addition to the temporary suspension of paid parking, two downtown monthly parking incentives have been extended to March 31. The first is a 50 percent reduction on the monthly Zone 10 parking permit price from $72 to $36.

The other incentive is a 50 percent reduction on the monthly parking permit at the Lethbridge Park ‘n Ride Transit Terminal from $105 to $52.50.

Parking customers are being encouraged to download the Way to Park app for contactless payment options. If that isn’t possible, the city is asking customers to take proper precautions to clean and sanitize their hands after using parking kiosks.
