Bulls and Prairie Baseball Academy launch online raffle for TCMM Memorial Fund

Jan 15, 2021 | 11:26 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Bulls have teamed with the Prairie Baseball Academy (PBA) on an online 50/50 raffle benefitting the TCMM Memorial Fund.

The fund was launched following the deaths of former Bulls and PBA players Tanner Craswell and Mitch MacLean in 2011. They were two of the victims in a murder-suicide, in a highway shooting outside of Claresholm on December 16, 2011.

Initially, the fund was used to help support the families of Craswell and MacLean.

It’s currently used to help support and develop Southern Alberta baseball players, at all levels.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the TCMM Memorial Fund lost all of its fundraising efforts in 2020, so now residents have a way to support the fund.

Tickets can be purchased here.

CASH FOR CHRISTMAS RAFFLE

Last month, the Bulls and PBA worked with Little League Alberta District #1 for the Cash for Christmas raffle.

The initiative reached a total of $11,460 with the winner, Roberta Nixon, receiving a jackpot of $5,730.

Funds raised from Cash for Christmas will help cover equipment and field needs for the three baseball organizations, following the loss of their seasons in 2020, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
