Fort Macleod man facing carfentanyl trafficking charges

STANDOFF, AB – A Fort Macleod man faces charges following a traffic stop by Blood Tribe Police.
On January 16, officers conducted the stop in Standoff. The driver was found to be in possession of 11 grams of carfentanyl. Blood Tribe Police say the 45-year-old man was not a member of the Blood Tribe.
Michel Gagne has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking carfentanyl, and trespassing. He remains in custody while awaiting a bail hearing.
