34-year-old man taken into custody after hours-long standoff with Lethbridge Police
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 34-year-old man was taken into custody following a standoff with Lethbridge Police Wednesday.
LPS officers were called to a home in the 500-block of Blackfoot Manor West at around 2 p.m. after receiving reports of “concerning phone calls the man had with others”.
Police contained the area but were not able to establish communication with the man. After receiving information that said there were weapons in the home, the Critical Incident Response and Tactical teams were deployed.
