383 new COVID cases in Alberta Saturday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services has released Saturday’s report on COVID-19, covering statistics compiled over the past 24 hours.

383 cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 123,747. Of those, 7,530 cases are active while 114,586 people have recovered.

There were 10 positive tests in Lethbridge over that course of time. Active infections in the city rose by only one and dropped across the region.

Since yesterday’s update, 11 Albertans died from COVID making the total 1,631.

Provincially, 582 patients are currently hospitalized and 103 have been admitted to intensive care.

With another 10,377 tests completed over the past day, there has now been a total of 3,164,563 tests conducted on 1,752,854 different people.

There have been 105,752 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered across the province as of the end of January 30.

Below is a breakdown of cases per health zone:

  • Edmonton Zone – 51,356 cases, 2,529 active
    • 236 in hospital, 36 in ICU
    • 855 deaths (seven new)
  • Calgary Zone – 47,494 cases, 3,063 active
    • 198 in hospital, 44 in ICU
    • 507 deaths (two new)
  • North Zone – 10,106 cases, 929 active
    • 69 in hospital, eight in ICU
    • 111 deaths (two new)
  • Central Zone – 8,814 cases, 666 active
    • 46 in hospital, seven in ICU
    • 87 deaths
  • South Zone – 5,846 cases, 327 active
    • 33 in hospital, eight in ICU
    • 71 deaths

Below is a breakdown of cases in the South Health Zone:

  • Brooks – 1,361 cases, three active, 14 deaths
  • Lethbridge – 1,714 cases (10 new), 134 active, 12 deaths
    • West Lethbridge – 614 cases (three new), 40 active, two deaths
    • South Lethbridge – 595 cases (six new), 68 active, nine deaths
    • North Lethbridge – 506 cases (one new), 25 active, one death
  • Medicine Hat – 527 cases, 20 active, 13 deaths
  • Lethbridge County – 513 cases (one new), 30 active, seven deaths
  • Cardston County – 474 cases (eight new), 74 active, six deaths
  • M.D. of Taber – 328 cases, four active, six deaths
  • M.D. of Pincher Creek – 182 cases (one new), 36 active, four deaths
  • County of Warner – 158 cases, six active, two deaths
  • County of Newell – 157 cases, nine active, two deaths
  • Cypress County – 145 cases, two active, zero deaths
  • County of Forty Mile – 117 cases, one active, two deaths
  • Fort Macleod – 92 cases, eight active, three deaths
  • Crowsnest Pass – 23 cases (four new), seven active, zero deaths
