Pincher Creek RCMP seek help in grain mischief incident

PINCHER CREEK, AB– RCMP responded to a complaint of mischief at a rural location east of the town, which resulted in significant damage.

On January 30, around 12:20 pm, RCMP received the call about the incident, claiming eight grain bags containing barley had been damaged by unknown culprits.

The damage compromised the integrity of the bags causing the barley to be exposed to the elements.

Each grain bag is worth $225,000, eight bags being damaged resulted in a $1.8 million loss.

RCMP don’t have significant details but determined the incident occurred sometime between 4 pm on January 29 and 10 am on January 30.
