Resident hospitalized in north Lethbridge house fire

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Seven units were called out to a residential fire Wednesday night.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a home on the 1400 block of 11 Ave North at approximately 9:00 pm.

The fire department says they found a single-family home “fully involved in fire.”

A few nearby residents told LNN that they heard one or two “explosions.”

An occupant of the home had to be rescued through a basement window and was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and is still under investigation.
