Feb 4, 2021 | 3:08 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services is warning of a new COVID-19-related scam.

They have received several reports of people being called by someone who claims to be with AHS.

The person on the receiving end is told that Albertans over the age of 75 can book their COVID-19 immunization for a fee.

Vaccines for COVID-19 in the province are provided for no charge.

“AHS will never ask for payment for COVID-19 immunization.”

If you receive a call like this, hang up the phone immediately and report the matter to the non-emergency line of your local police.
