LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is once again updating their recreation facility operations.

On Saturday, February 6, the provincial government announced that limited school and minor sports training would be allowed this week. This lead to the city restarting maintenance of ice at the ATB Centre and allowing the Lethbridge Hurricanes to hit the ice at the ENMAX Centre.

Upon further consultation with community groups, the city has once again updated its usage rules.

The following facilities will be available for scheduled and permitted use through community groups:

  • ATB Centre
  • ENMAX Centre
  • Nicholas Sheran Ice Centre
  • Logan Boulet Arena
  • Labor Club Ice Centre

Other city arenas will remain closed until Fall 2021, but the city will reassess those options as provincial restrictions continue to evolve.

Pools managed by Recreation Excellence remain closed for the time being, including Nicholas Sheran, Stan Siwik, and Fritz Sick.

Eligible community groups that can utilize these facilities can be found here.

Residents wishing to use the Cor van Raay YMCA or Max Bell Aquatic Centre are encouraged to speak to somebody there.
