One new COVID case at Wilson Middle School, two infections in total

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge School Division has confirmed another case of COVID-19 at Wilson Middle School.

The division noted there are now two cases at the facility. It could not be said if the affected individuals are staff members and/or students.

The Medical Officer of Health has begun an investigation and contact tracing is underway. Close contacts will be notified via email and required to quarantine.

Recommendations have been made to school staff for enhanced cleaning and other control measures to reduce the risk of further transmission.

The division said that the risk of infection to the general population in the school is low.
