Consultations on creating new coal policies launch March 29
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Alberta Government wants your help in deciding what the future of coal mining regulations in the province should look like.
Last year, the province rescinded the 1976 Coal Policy, a law that protected sensitive areas of the Rocky Mountains from open-pit coal mining.
The government declared earlier this month that they would be reinstating the Coal Policy and developing better rules.
