LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division has confirmed new cases of COVID-19 at two of its schools.

One case has been reported at St. Francis Junior High School in Lethbridge, with one case confirmed at St. Teresa of Calcutta School, also in Lethbridge.

In both instances, all close contacts have been notified, according to Holy Spirit. Those close contacts are required to quarantine.

The division could not say whether the infected individuals were staff members and/or students.

“As always, we continue to work closely with Alberta Health Services to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff,” read a statement from Holy Spirit.

As of Thursday evening (Feb. 25), the division has three active cases (one at Catholic Central High School, one at St. Francis and one at St. Teresa of Calcutta).

These cases have resulted in the isolation of roughly 95 staff and students.
