19 COVID cases in Lethbridge, 356 across Alberta

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services has released its update on COVID-19 for Friday, covering statistics compiled over the previous 24 hours.

356 cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 132,788. Of those, 4,505 cases are active while 126,406 people have recovered.

In the South Zone, 25 people tested positive including 19 in Lethbridge.

Active infections in both the city and across the region are up.

Since yesterday’s update, four Albertans died from COVID including three in the Central Zone and one in the Edmonton Zone. To date, 1,877 lives have been lost.

Provincially, 269 patients are currently hospitalized including 55 who have been admitted to intensive care.

With another 9,212 tests completed over the past day, there has now been a total of 3,397,051 tests conducted on 1,815,930 different people.

207,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Alberta as of the end of February 25.

  • Edmonton Zone – 53,562 cases, 908 active
    • 74 in hospital, 18 in ICU
    • 968 deaths (one new)
  • Calgary Zone – 50,844 cases, 1,523 active
    • 100 in hospital, 13 in ICU
    • 577 deaths
  • North Zone – 11,713 cases, 1,016 active
    • 35 in hospital, three in ICU
    • 135 deaths
  • Central Zone – 10,117 cases, 722 active
    • 33 in hospital, 11 in ICU
    • 108 deaths (three new)
  • South Zone – 6,450 cases, 327 active
    • 27 in hospital, 10 in ICU
    • 89 deaths

  • Brooks – 1,361 cases, zero active, 14 deaths
  • Lethbridge – 2,076 cases (19 new), 196 active, 20 deaths
    • West Lethbridge – 705 cases (five new), 51 active, two deaths
    • South Lethbridge – 705 cases (six new), 51 active, 16 deaths
    • North Lethbridge – 665 cases (eight new), 84 active, two deaths
  • Cardston County – 599 cases (four new), 66 active, 11 deaths
  • Medicine Hat – 553 cases (one new), 20 active, 16 deaths
  • Lethbridge County – 544 cases (three new), 21 active, seven deaths
  • M.D. of Taber – 337 cases, four active, six deaths
  • M.D. of Pincher Creek – 215 cases, 13 active, four deaths
  • County of Warner – 162 cases, two active, three deaths
  • County of Newell – 159 cases, zero active, two deaths
  • Cypress County – 145 cases, two active, zero deaths
  • County of Forty Mile – 117 cases, zero active, two deaths
  • Fort Macleod – 99 cases, three active, four deaths
  • Crowsnest Pass – 24 cases, zero active, zero deaths
