Police investigating shooting in Standoff

STANDOFF, AB – Blood Tribe Police says a man suffered “significant injuries to his leg” in a shooting Monday.

They were called to a home in Standoff around 3:00 pm.

The victim’s injuries are believed to be a result of a firearm.

He was taken by EMS to hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.

Police have arrested the suspect and they are continuing their investigation.

As this is believed to be a targeted incident, there is no immediate danger to the public.
