Lethbridge Food Banks gearing up for Target Hunger Food Drive
LETHBRIDGE, AB– The Interfaith and the Lethbridge Food Bank have been teaming up for the past seven years for the Target Hunger food drive.
The iconic yellow bags will be distributed across the city, in hopes that people will fill them with non-perishable food items.
The food drive is taking place on Saturday, June 12th, and will be needing a multitude of volunteers to help reach this year’s goal of 50,000 pounds of food. Which although sounds like a lot, will help get the food bank’s through two weeks of emergency food assistance to the community.
Danielle McIntyre, the Executive Director with Interfaith Food Bank says she’s excited to see the community come together and help out their neighbours in need.
