Hurricanes’ Zack Stringer makes NHL Central Scouting list

LETHBRIDGE, AB– The NHL’s latest round of their Central Scouting Service has tapped Lethbridge Hurricanes Forward Zack Stringer.

Ahead of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Stringer, 18, is listed in the top 200 North American skaters sitting on the 190th spot.

Drafted by the Hurricanes in the first round (8th overall) in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft, Stringer has shown over the past couple of seasons he may have what it takes to make it to the NHL.

The 6’1, 165-pound forward appeared in 23 regular-season games in 2020-2021 totaling 14 points (5g-9a) along with 10 penalty minutes.

In his hometown of Lethbridge, Stringer was named the 2019-2020 Carl Trentini Memorial Award as the Hurricanes Rookie of the Year.

Skating in 79 career games with the ‘Canes, he collected 52 points (17g-35a) along with 34 penalty minutes.
