LPS charge man with drug offences after seizing $13,000 worth of methamphetamine

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police have charged a 31-year-old man after a significant quantity of methamphetamine was seized.

The LPS Priority Crimes Unit arrested Robert Kenneth Laing on outstanding warrants on Thursday, June 3. In the process, police say they discovered methamphetamine, finding Laing in possession of 219 grams valued at more than $13,000, as well as a small amount of suspected MDMA.

Laing has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of the proceeds of crime. He was remanded in custody and is set to appear in court today, June 4.
