Semi and train collide near Nobleford, no major injuries reported

PICTURE BUTTE, AB – No major injuries were reported in a collision between a train and semi on Monday.

The incident happened just before 11 a.m. on June 14, according to a report from Global News and occurred on Range Road 23-2, south of Highway 519.

The semi was travelling south while the train was moving east ahead of the collision. The majority of the damage was done to the trailer that the semi was hauling.

The driver of the semi was uninjured, while the train conductor suffered minor injuries. It was reported that no one was sent to the hospital.

The Nobleford Fire Department attended the scene, along with CP police and ambulances from both Picture Butte Emergency Services and Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services.
