No new COVID cases in Lethbridge, 124 provincially

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services has released Friday’s report on COVID-19, covering statistics compiled over the last 24 hours.

124 cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 231,132. Of those, 2,336 cases are active while 226,513 people have recovered.

In the South Zone, three people tested positive.

Active infections in Lethbridge remained flat at 14 but fell regionally by five to 83.

Since yesterday’s update, three Albertans died from COVID with one each in the Calgary, Central, and North Zones. To date, 2,283 people in the province have died as a result of the virus.

Provincially, 237 patients are currently hospitalized including 58 who have been admitted to intensive care.

3,654,750 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered as of the end of June 17. More people are now eligible to receive their second doses.

With another 5,574 tests conducted over the past day, there has now been a total of 4,630,314 tests completed on 2,168,545 different people.

  • Calgary Zone – 94,026 cases, 1,049 active
    • 117 in hospital, 28 in ICU
    • 693 deaths (one new)
  • Edmonton Zone – 77,583 cases, 486 active
    • 58 in hospital, 18 in ICU
    • 1,101 deaths
  • North Zone – 26,352 cases, 465 active
    • 25 in hospital, five in ICU
    • 191 deaths (one new)
  • Central Zone – 20,694 cases, 253 active
    • 23 in hospital, six in ICU
    • 165 deaths (one new)
  • South Zone – 12,467 cases, 83 active
    • 14 in hospital, one in ICU
    • 133 deaths

  • Lethbridge – 4,833 cases, 14 active, 39 deaths
    • West Lethbridge – 1,770 cases, four active, four deaths
    • North Lethbridge – 1,610 cases, three active, 11 deaths

  • Brooks – 1,502 cases, eight active, 15 deaths
  • Medicine Hat – 1,259 cases, 23 active, 22 deaths
  • Lethbridge County – 1,256 cases (one new), five active, 12 deaths
  • Cardston County – 1,025 cases, one active, 18 deaths
  • M.D. of Taber – 571 cases, zero active, six deaths
  • County of Warner – 469 cases, six active, three deaths
  • M.D. of Pincher Creek – 317 cases (two new), 12 active, five deaths
  • Fort Macleod – 322 cases, two active, six deaths
