New Provincial court judges appointed, including one for Lethbridge
EDMONTON, AB. — Minister of Justice and Solicitor General, Kaycee Madu, has appointed eight new judges to the Provincial Court of Alberta, with one from Lethbridge.
Madu noted the group of appointees represents Alberta’s diversity and follows his commitment to have the provincial justice system reflect Alberta today.
The Lethbridge – Southern Region appointment has been conferred on Grace Auger, who will take her position on the bench on August 3, 2021.
Auger earned her bachelor of laws from the University of Calgary in 1995 and worked as a Crown prosecutor following law school. She is a member of the Bigstone Cree First Nation from the Treaty 8 Territory, and has worked with a number of law firms in the Treaty 7 Territory … most recently with Legal Aid Alberta on the Siksika First Nation.
