New interactive program designed to keep families safe on the farm
LETHBRIDGE, AB. — It can be one of the most dangerous places for children. Canadian Agricultural Injury Reporting, shows 84 Canadian children and youth died due to agriculture-related injuries between 2006 and 2015.
For that reason, a new interactive program has been designed to help improve on farm safety for families
Through the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) program, youth receive a free safety vest, customized name badge, colouring sheets, and membership certificate. The toolkit will help prepare them for the important role as an official BASF Safety Scout.
BASF Agricultural Solutions Canada’s Nicole McAuley, points out health and safety is their priority.
