Crews respond to “intentional” apartment fire in South Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Fire crews from three stations responded to reports of an apartment fire along the Ashgrove Road area in the south of the city Tuesday.

At approximately 8:40 pm, crews were able to quickly extinguish a fire in the basement of the apartment which kept the blaze contained to one suite.

While there is very little information at this time, the city says the damages are estimated at approximately $100,000.

The cause of the fire has been determined as intentional but is still under investigation.
