New heat records set in Taber & Milk River on Thursday

TABER, AB – Another heatwave is sweeping across the province, setting a few new daily maximum temperature records on Thursday, July 15.

Environment Canada says that includes two communities in Southern Alberta – Taber and Milk River, as well as the Central Eastern town of Wainwright.

Taber got the hottest at 34.9 degrees, breaking the old record set 72 years ago.
