Two central Albertan 12-year-olds, believed to be headed to Radium are found in Airdrie

RED DEER***Up-Date  Thanks to tips from the public, the two young peopple have been located in Airdrie. They are safe and well.

BACKGROUND:

RCMP in Innisfail and Red Deer issued an update late Monday on a missing 12-year-old boy, who they say is now believed to be with a girl of the same age.

According to Mounties, Nicolas Givotkoff travelled to Innisfail from Red Deer in the early morning hours of Jan. 14 (Monday).

He and Rhianna Pelletier left in a family vehicle. The vehicle is described as a dark blue Chevrolet Cavalier.

The pair were believed to have been spotted in Airdrie at about 9 p.m. Monday night. Police say though the vehicle was located, the kids weren’t.

Authorities have reason to believe the two are attempting to reach Radium, BC, which is through the Rockies and about two hours southwest of Banff.

Pelletier is described as 4’5″ to 5’0″ and 80-90 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She may be wearing a black coat with grey coloured cuffs.

Givotkoff is described as 5’6″ and 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He wears braces and may have on a grey Red Deer Rebels hat and a cream coloured hoodie with a tiger on the front.
