Coaldale and Picture Butte crews tackle hay shed fire during 14-plus hour response

LETHBRIDGE COUNTY, AB – Local fire crews had a full day on Thursday.

Coaldale & District Emergency Services says responders attended a large hay shed fire in Lethbridge County, with the initial call coming in at 6:46 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2.

Due to the size of the fire, Picture Butte Emergency Services was called in to assist. Multiple teams rotated through as the response lasted over 14 hours.

Coaldale & District Emergency Services said crews headed back to the fire hall at around 12:15 a.m. Friday morning, Sept. 3.
