Lethbridge Police recover stolen vehicles valued at $250K

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police have recovered six stolen vehicles with a total value of $250,000.

Officers found two men in a stolen car on September 21 in the 1700 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South. Their arrest and the following investigation resulted in police identifying the location of other vehicles that had recently been stolen from two auto dealers in Lethbridge.

Working alongside the Cardston RCMP and Blood Tribe Police, LPS recovered six stolen vehicles and found suspects in several break-and-enters and thefts of license plates in Lethbridge and the surrounding area.

29-year-old Kirby Mills, of Lethbridge, has been charged with five counts of theft of a motor vehicle; two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000; break and enter to commit theft; break and enter to steal a motor vehicle; trafficking in stolen property over $5,000; and theft under $5,000.

37-year-old Isaiah Sterling Acko, also from Lethbridge, has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Both were released from custody, set to appear in court on November 30, 2021. The investigation is ongoing with further charges pending, and police say no further details will be released at this time.
