Hurricanes reassign Chadwick and Meneghin
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have reassigned a couple of players.
16-year-old defenceman Noah Chadwick will be reporting to the Saskatoon Contacts U18 team for the 2021-2022 season. He was originally selected by the Hurricanes in the second round (83rd overall) of the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft. In three pre-season games with Lethbridge, Chadwick dished out one assist, with a minus-1 rating. He appeared in six games with the Contacts during the 2020-2021 season, recording two penalty minutes.
17-year-old goaltender Harrison Meneghin was undrafted in the WHL Draft but was signed by Lethbridge out of training camp. From South Surrey, B.C., he appeared in two pre-season contests for the ‘Canes, posting a 0-1-0-0 record with a 4.82 goals against average (GAA) and an .808 save percentage. He’ll suit up with the Delta Hockey Academy U18 club this season. He made three appearances with the team in 2020-2021, posting a record of 2-1-0-0 with a 2.59 GAA and a .925 save percentage.
Lethbridge now currently has a total of 23 players on its roster, including two goalies, 10 defenceman and 13 forwards. The Hurricanes open the 2021-2022 regular season on Friday, October 1 on home ice, at the ENMAX Centre against the Calgary Hitmen.
