LETHBRIDGE, AB – UPDATE — Lethbridge Police have released further information relating to a motor vehicle collision which sent a Lethbridge man to hospital with serious injuries on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021.

The collision occurred about 7 p.m. at the intersection of 13 Avenue and 18 Street North involving a motorcycle and a truck.

The motorcyclist, a 43-year-old Lethbridge man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries and then airlifted to a Calgary hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

The driver of the truck, a 54-year-old Lethbridge woman, did not suffer injuries requiring treatment.

Members of the Traffic Response Unit believe speed and alcohol were factors in the collision. However, their investigation has also determined the motorcycle was travelling northbound on 18 Street North, failed to stop at the intersection at 13 Avenue and collided with the eastbound pickup truck.
