LPS to undergo training to make work environments safer
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Employees at Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) will undergo training aimed at preventing bullying, abuse, harassment, and discrimination (BAHD) in the workplace.
The service is joining the Respect Group, an organization founded by former NHL player Sheldon Kennedy.
“Programs are one thing, making them a requirement for all members of the organization is about leadership and accountability,” says Kennedy. “Congratulations to the Lethbridge Police Service for moving how we treat one another from the policy category to the priority category!”
In a statement from LPS Chief Shahin Mehdizadeh, he remains committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees and volunteers.
