LPS announces new Deputy Chief
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service has a new Deputy Chief.
Gerald Grobmeier will join the detachment on March 7, 2022. He has 28 years of experience of national and international service with the RCMP, most recently as the Superintendent in charge of the Red Deer detachment, where he led a team of 174 police officers and 86 municipal workers.
LPS Chief Shahin Mehdizadeh has past working experience with his incoming Deputy Chief.
He said, “Gerald’s extensive experience, ability to lead through change, dedication to building relationships and the vision he brings to policing make him an ideal fit to join our team.”
