Hurricanes sign forward Trae Wilke

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have signed forward Trae Wilke to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement.

The 15-year-old was drafted 29th overall in the second round of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft by the Hurricanes. From Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, he has totaled 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists), along with 16 penalty minutes in 25 games this season with the Saskatoon Blazers U18 AAA team.

Last season, he racked up 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists) in four games with the Saskatoon Stallions U15 AA team, where he finished tied for first in team scoring.

The forward joins Miguel Marques as the two players thus far from the 2021 WHL Draft to sign with the Hurricanes.

Lethbridge is back on the ice Saturday, January 1 against the Hitmen in Calgary.
