Canes win OT nailbiter over Broncos Wednesday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The hometown Lethbridge Hurricanes took down the Swift Current Broncos in one of the closest games of the year.

The score summary is as follows:

Logan Wormald got the scoring started for the Canes with less than a minute left to go in the first period.

Josh Davies from the Broncos opened up the scoring for his team near the end of the second frame.

The third period was full of action as both teams scored clutch goals for their squads.

Yegor Klavdiev scored his first of the game unassisted with 10 minutes left to go in the game.

Josh Davies scored his second goal of the game with less than a minute left on the clock to send the game to overtime.

Logan Wormald finished the game for the Hurricanes scoring an OT goal with 3.7 seconds to go. Wormald scores his second of the night on the game-winner which is also his seventh goal of the year.
