Nominations for Alberta Order of Excellence now open

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Nominations are now open for Alberta’s highest honour.

You can nominate a distinguished individual for membership in the Alberta Order of Excellence. Up to 10 individuals will be inducted this year to recognize their contributions to their community, the province and beyond. Nominations are accepted year-round but for the 2022 class must be received by February 15.

Those not selected in 2022 will be considered for up to three years. Nominees must be Canadian citizens currently living in Alberta. If selected, they must be able to attend the investiture ceremony. People cannot nominate themselves, their spouse or a member of their immediate family.

Cor Van Raay of Lethbridge and the Blood Reserve’s Lena Heavy Shields-Russell were two of the inductees into the 2021 class.
