RCMP charge Medicine Hat man with murder for January 2020 suspicious death

REDCLIFF, AB – A Medicine Hat man has been charged with murder for a suspicious death from more than two years ago.

On the morning of January 13, 2020, Redcliff RCMP began investigating after a body was found on a rural road south of Medicine Hat and east of Highway 3.

Two days later, the chief medical examiner in Calgary determined the death to be a homicide. The victim was identified as a 27-year-old man from Brooks, Alta.

No further details were released at the time and police said they did not believe there was any risk to the public.
