Convoy crawls up Highway 3 through Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – After vehicle convoys Tuesday afternoon shut down traffic near Nobleford and on Highway-2 between Fort Macleod and Standoff, another convoy made an appearance Wednesday afternoon.

This time, the convoy of tractors, semis, and passenger vehicles slowly made its way west on Highway-3 from Coaldale to pass through Lethbridge just after 3:30 pm.

Lethbridge Police tweeted out to residents in the city that a “slow moving convoy is currently westbound along Crowsnest Trail near 43 St S. Motorists are advised to avoid the area or expect delays.”

A prominent sign on one of the vehicles stated, “End All Mandates.”
