STAN SCOUT “Mia’nistsikitstakii” passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home in Fish Creek, Blood Reserve on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the age of 76 years.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Joanne Scout, and was predeceased by his only son, Kevin Stanley, who was his pride and joy. He is also survived by his daughters: Carrie (the late Steve Heavy Runner), Sheryl and Deanna (Dustin) Fox as well as eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Stan had a zest for life and was always happy. His main concern was to provide a happy, loving home for his wife and all his family. He was a father figure to many and a grandfather to many more.
Stan loved to travel. Scottsdale, Arizona was his favourite home away from home, but his favourite and final destination was home at “-S2 Ranch”.
A Wake and Celebration of Stan’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Masks are still mandatory.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MARTHA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. West, Lethbridge, AB, on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. with Father William Monis celebrating.
Following the Mass, Stan will be laid to rest in St. Catherine’s Cemetery with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. A Feast will follow at White Calf Hall. Horseback Riders can take mount at White Calf Hall Parking lot.
