ABBEY MARIE KAWULKA passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Sunday, February 13^th, 2022, at the age of 42 years.

Abbey was an irreplaceable part of so many of our lives. We will forever have fond memories of her and how she touched the world and added warmth at every turn. She gave so much to everyone while often handling intense health issues. The twinkle in her eye as she laughed with genuine joy warmed our hearts and renewed our souls. Her sense of humor was honest and kind; it lacked both malice and sarcasm and this is something we should all aspire to.

She wanted nothing more than to care for people and be cared for. Just watching her interact with children, the most innocent and fragile of us, reaffirmed your belief in love and humanity. If you were lucky enough to be on the list of people she cared for the most, you know the anticipation and delight of the birthday cards she caringly found, curated, and delivered.

You will be missed Abbey and, while the world will continue to turn, it will be a dimmer place without you. The only solace we have is that your pain and suffering are no more. We will try to take forward the pieces of you that we hold dearest and bring them to others in your name.

Abbey is survived by so many but her children, Summer, Scarlet and Sawyer, were her joy.

A Celebration of Abbey’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. with Ryan Sato officiating. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed via Abbey’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
