Lethbridge Lightning to battle Fort Macleod in round one of RHL playoffs

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Lightning are playoff-bound!

The senior-AA men’s hockey team competes in the Ranchland Hockey League (RHL) and is set to begin the post-season on Friday, March 4 in a road matchup with the Fort Macleod Mustangs. Game time is to be determined.

Lethbridge’s first home game of the playoffs is Saturday, March 5 at Nicholas Sheran Arena at 7:30 p.m.

FIRST PLACE FINISH

In their last regular season game on Saturday, February 26, Lethbridge defeated Fort Macleod 8-3 to secure first place in the RHL. The first-place finish marks the first time the team has placed at the top in the regular season since joining the league for the 2017-2018 season. The Mustangs finished fourth this season.

The winner of the best of five series between Lethbridge and Fort Macleod will battle the winner of the series between Nanton (second place) and Siksika (third place) for the league championship.
