Lethbridge man faces drug and weapon-related charges

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police have charged a local man with 16 offences but say more may be laid.
Members of the Property Crimes Unit/High Risk Offender Unit, Tactical Response Unit, Patrols, and Traffic Response Unit executed a search warrant on the 700 block of 8 Ave South just before noon on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
One man was arrested and police seized several items including a stolen, loaded firearm, more than 120 oxycontin polls, small amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl, and stolen property.
Wesley Charles Johnson, 36, of Lethbridge, has been charged with 16 offences including possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence, possession of a prohibited firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of stolen property.
