Former U of L student inspired by ‘Logan Boulet Effect’ in creation of logo for Green Shirt Day 2022
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A University of Lethbridge alumnus is behind the logo for Green Shirt Day 2022.
Green Shirt Day is Thursday, April 7 and honours the legacy of Lethbridge’s Logan Boulet. Boulet was one of the victims of the April 6, 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash. Following his death, the nation saw a surge in organ donation registration, in what became known as the ‘Logan Boulet Effect’.
On Green Shirt Day, people are encouraged to wear green and start conversations about the importance of organ donation.
U of L alumnus Joshua Wong is behind the new logo for the inspiring day. Green Shirt Day organizers issued a call for a redesign of the event’s logo. Toby Boulet, a fellow U of L alumnus and the father of Logan Boulet, suggested that a contest be orchestrated through the university to find a new look.
