City of Lethbridge advising of irrigation issues at Henderson and Legacy parks
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Residents visiting Henderson Park and Legacy Park in Lethbridge will see longer watering issues. The City of Lethbridge said that’s due to irrigation issues at both sites.
Henderson Park will have a watering period of 14 to 15 hours per day, while Legacy Park will have a watering period of 18 to 24 hours.
Officials noted that because of an issue with the Henderson irrigation pump house, located by the pavilion, there is not enough volume of water coming in from the lake in the standard time frame to meet the irrigation requirements.
Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, an investigation into a suspected blockage will start. Signs and barricades will be used to help guide users and the public in the area around the equipment and vehicles. Park users can anticipate periods of increased noise throughout the day.
