LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) estimates that around $11,000 worth of illicit drugs were confiscated during a recent arrest.

On Thursday, May 5, 2022, members of the Crime Suppression Team saw a woman, who was known to police and who had several conditions from previous charges, inside a vehicle.

LPS says the vehicle made a number of stops and was engaged in activities consistent with drug trafficking.

A man and a woman were arrested without incident after the vehicle stopped at a convenience store.

During a subsequent search, police seized cocaine, oxycodone and hydromorphone pills, fentanyl, methamphetamine, two cell phones, and a collapsible baton.

Misty-Rae Visser, 37, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.

She remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

The man was released without charges.
