LETHBRIDGE, AB — Don’t let the Monday blues get you down. Look forward to the week ahead with these events happening around Lethbridge.

Learn about native prairie plants and paint your own picture of a Prairie Crocus. Creative Community is hosting the event, which is happening from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the Galt Museum and Archives, located at 502 1 Street South.

Creative Community is a hands-on program that hosts activities to connect adults and seniors with local history and culture. The event costs $6 dollars, which is the price of admission to the Galt Museum, and health care support people can attend with their clients for free.

If you want to enjoy the beauty of nature and a tasty beverage at the same time, Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden is hosting a ‘Gin and Junipers’ tasting on Thursday May 19, 2022, to kick off being open for the summer season. There will be two tastings: the first will be at 6:00 p.m. and the second tasting will start at 7:30 p.m.

Looking to learn a new board game or experience a challenge? The Round Table Board Gamerie (RTBG) is hosting a ‘Learn to play’ and ‘Challenge scenario’ on Thursday May 19, 2022, with the featured game being Marvel Champions.

Both games will start at 7:00 p.m. RTBG will have five core box heroes to borrow, or you can bring your own or buy a pre-built hero deck.

If superhero’s and board games aren’t up your alley, maybe you’d like to support Last Chance Cat Ranch (LCCR) on Thursday May 19, 2022 at a music bingo fundraiser at Hudson’s Pub, located at 904 2 Avenue South. Starting at 8:00 p.m., you can listen and play along in an effort to raise money to help the LCCR find a new location.

The LCCR is a not-for-profit cat rescue that saves homeless cats and kittens and helps them find forever homes.

Sports fans don’t fret. Also happening this week is the Canadian College World Series (CCWS). The tournament is being held at Spitz Stadium starting Thursday May 19 and running until May 23, 2022.

The CCWS is an annual tournament consisting of teams in the Canadian College Baseball Conference in order to determine the league champion.

These are just some of the events happening in Lethbridge this week.
