Six people arrested at west Lethbridge home

LETHBRIDGE, AB – On Thursday, May 19, 2022, Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) arrested six people after they executed a search warrant on a west side home.

The three men and three women have been charged with multiple drug, weapon, and stolen property offences.

As LPS searched the home located on Coalbanks Boulevard, they seized three rifles, a taser, 450 grams of methamphetamine worth $36,000, almost $10,000 in cash, and $6,000 worth of stolen property.

During the execution of the search warrant, one of the males returned to the residence in his vehicle and LPS conducted a traffic stop.

Officers say they found a handgun hidden under the driver’s seat, a second taser, and roughly 28 grams of cocaine valued at $2,800.

The following individuals, all of whom are from Lethbridge, have been charged.

Robert Ambrus, 39, is charged with possession and trafficking of stolen property under $5,000.

Daylan Strembesky, 38, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Taylor Sander, 28, is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and trafficking stolen property.

Jazden Posti, 26, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property over $5,000, and six firearm offences.

Kendall Pyne, 42, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

After the initial Judicial Interim Release hearings, Ambrus, Barlow, Posti, and Sander were released and are scheduled to appear in court on June 17, 2022. Pyne has also been released and is expected in court June 3, 2022.

Strembesky remains in police custody, and will appear in court on May 25, 2022.
