LETHBRIDGE, AB – We will soon know when a Calgary man charged in connection to events at the Coutts border blockade will be on trial.

In Lethbridge Provincial Court on Friday, May 27, 2022, Chad Haggerty, lawyer for Artur Pawlowski, informed the judge of his intentions to set trial dates on June 6, 2022.

That will follow a pre-trial conference scheduled for June 2.

Pawlowski is charged with one count each of destroying essential infrastructure without lawful right/justification/excuse, interfering with property over $5,000, and failing to comply with release order conditions. He has plead not guilty to all counts.

He was arrested on February 8, 2022, while attending a protest near the Coutts border crossing.

Over in Lethbridge Court of Queen’s Bench, a judge denied bail for Chris Carbert, one of four men charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
