Woman escapes attempted abduction in Cardston

CARDSTON, AB – Cardston RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in an attempted abduction that occurred on May 17, 2022.

The abduction attempt happened shortly after 5 p.m., when a man approached a woman out front of the Cardston hospital and told her to get into his vehicle. The woman declined and left, but Mounties say the suspect then followed the woman to Moses Lake, pulling his vehicle in front of her and attempting to force her inside.

The woman was able to successfully get away from the suspect and managed to hide until he left the area.

The RCMP has described the suspect as:

• Light skinned male
• Approximately 6’3 and 40 years old
• Bald with no teeth
• Tattoos all over both arms
• May have had blue eyes
