LETHBRIDGE, AB – Health Canada has seized unauthorized products from the Jedpar Health and Beauty warehouse location in Lethbridge and removed them from online sale.

The products were listed on the federal government’s product seizure list on June 16, 2022, but the date of seizure is not indicated. Health Canada says the unauthorized products promoted skin lightening. The agency also seized products promoting sexual enhancement from a Calgary-based company.

The unauthorized products list is constantly updated by Health Canada when unauthorized health products are promoted for:

  • lightening skin or treating skin conditions (such as eczema or psoriasis)
  • sexual enhancement
  • weight loss, workout aids
  • certain types of inhalant drugs

Unauthorized health products have not been assessed for safety, effectiveness, or quality by Health Canada, so they may pose serious health risks.

Health Canada advises Canadians to consult a health care professional if they have used any of these unauthorized products.
