LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has charged a suspect with multiple offences after firearms, drugs, cash, and stolen property were seized from a vehicle and residence on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

A member of the LPS K9 unit attempted a traffic stop near the intersection of 18 Street and 2 Avenue North on Thursday evening. Police say the vehicle fled the scene and was later located at a residence in the 1900 block of 6 A Avenue North.

Police arrested one suspect and obtained search warrants for the vehicle and residence.

The search warrants resulted in the seizure of three firearms; two of which police say were ‘sawed-off’ and one that police say was loaded and located directly beside the vehicle driver’s seat.

Other items seized include a replica handgun and drugs including methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, psilocybin, and prescription pills with an estimated street value of $9,000.
