On Saturday, August 13, learn how to protect your furry loved ones at Canine First Aid – Lethbridge. Taking place from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., this event focuses on a number of different topics, such as knowing which household plants are toxic to dogs, and how to make an “Elizabethan collar and emergency muzzle”. The event will be held at Paws On Training in north Lethbridge and tickets for the course can be purchased on the Southern Alberta k9 First Aid website.
If you don’t have a pet, but cherish collectibles, check out the Lethbridge Comic, Car, and Collectibles Show (CCCS). This event is also happening on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and will have over 35 vendors and artists in attendance. The CCCS is taking place at the Rocky Mountain Turf Club, and admission is just $3.00. More information on the artists and vendors who will be at the show can be found on the CCCS Facebook page.
Enjoy the outdoors and live music on Saturday during Arts in the Parks: Chillin’ in the Parks. This free event happening at Galt Gardens starts at 12 p.m. and will have you grooving along to jazz and classical music. Hosted by the Allied Arts Council Lethbridge, there will be a total of five performers during the afternoon, and it’s recommended to bring a lawn chair, sunscreen, and water to stay hydrated.
