No injuries reported in West Lethbridge basement fire

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Wednesday night residential fire on the west side of Lethbridge caused an estimated $275,000 in damages.
Crews from three stations responded to the basement fire at around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in the 100 block of Laval Boulevard West.
The City of Lethbridge said responders were able to contain and extinguish the blaze, and the residents were able to escape the home before crews arrived. No injuries were reported.
The fire is believed to have been accidental, however, the cause is still under investigation.
